Sunderland investment for Wren Kitchens
Wren Kitchens has invested more than £1m in its kitchen showroom at Trimdon Street retail park in Sunderland.
The retailer has created 25 new jobs in the area including managers, designers, surveyors and advisers to ensure a first-class service at the new 15,000 sq. ft showroom.
Former Sunderland FC goalkeeper Jim Montgomery will officially open the 15,000 sq ft showroom to the public on Friday (9 August) .
The newly divided B&Q building now encompasses more than 40 individual kitchens on display.
"It's taken three months to completely transform the building to Wren's famously high standards and the substantial amount we’ve invested demonstrates our commitment to the local area," said Wren Kitchens general showroom manager Marc Winter.
The Mayor of Sunderland, councillor David Snowdon, added: "This investment by Wren Kitchens is great news bringing new jobs and more shoppers into the local area, and I hope the new showroom is a huge success."
The Trimdon Street site will be the 81st showroom opened by Wren Kitchens since launching ten years ago. Wren makes more than 2,000 kitchens a week at three production facilities in North Lincolnshire and Yorkshire.
