“The Vaux development will transform the city centre, bring new opportunities for jobs, create new places to live, and spaces to enjoy and relax.”
Chief Executive, Siglion
Built on a 5.5 hectare landmark site, the former Vaux Brewery is the most significant regeneration project in the city centre.
The development is planned to include offices, shops, restaurants, cafes, a hotel, and residential apartments.
New public spaces will allow for paths and cycle routes along the cliff edge overlooking the River Wear, and city-side the development will link across to Keel Square and the regenerated Music and Arts Quarter.
The developer is Siglion, a joint venture company between Sunderland City Council, Carillion and Igloo Regeneration.
